Steps to Install Windows 11:
Obtain Windows 11 Installation Media:
- You can download the Windows 11 installation media from the official Microsoft website.
Create Installation Media:
- Use the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB drive or burn the ISO file to a DVD. Follow the instructions provided by Microsoft.
Insert Installation Media:
- Insert the USB drive or DVD into the computer where you want to install Windows 11.
Boot from Installation Media:
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS or UEFI settings. Set the boot order to prioritize the USB drive or DVD, allowing your computer to boot from the installation media.
Install Windows 11:
- Once the computer boots from the installation media, follow the on-screen instructions to begin the Windows 11 installation.
- Select your language, time, keyboard input, and click “Next.”
Enter Product Key:
- Enter the product key when prompted. You may skip this step during installation, but you’ll need to activate Windows 11 later.
Select Installation Type:
- Choose between an upgrade or a clean installation. If you are installing on a new device or want a fresh start, select “Custom: Install Windows only.”
Partitioning and Installation:
- If you chose a custom installation, you’ll need to partition your hard drive. Create a new partition for Windows and follow the prompts to install the operating system.
Complete Installation:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. This may include setting up user accounts and configuring additional settings.
Post-Installation Setup:
- After Windows 11 is installed, you might need to install drivers for your hardware. Check the Device Manager for any missing drivers and install them.
Activate Windows 11:
- If you didn’t enter a product key during installation, go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation to activate Windows using your product key.
Update Windows:
- After installation, make sure to check for and install any available updates. This helps ensure that your system has the latest security patches and improvements.
